GREEN CARD

If you are working or looking for work?

RED CARD (experienced worker)
If you are working or looking for work

**Apply if you worked as a carpenter or painter decorator in the past 3 years
** You worked for at least 12 months out of those 3 years

RED CARD (trainee)
If you are working or looking for work

**Apply if you are new to the industry

BLUE CARD (skilled worker)
If you have completed your NVQ level 2 course

**Apply for BLUE card if you finished your NVQ level 2, 3 or higher course OR
*** Apply for NVQ level 2 course NOW in order to be eligible for BLUE card

GREEN CARD (general site operative

Basic card. Green card valid for 5 years.
APPLY for green SCSC card here

For labourers general site operatives.
Also for experienced builders who need any CSCS card "just to get onto site".

RED CARD (experienced worker)

is a temporary card; valid for 1 year; issued as soon as you enroll onto NVQ level 2 course.
Once you have completed your NVQ level 2 course you will get a skilled BLUE card (skilled worker) (valid for 5 years).

If you worked as a carpenter/ joiner, painter/ decorator for at least 1 year within the last 3 years

RED CARD (trainee)

is valid for 3 years and will be issued as soon as you enrol onto NVQ level 2 course.
Once you have completed your NVQ level 2 course you will get a skilled BLUE card (skilled worker) (valid for 5 years).

If you would like to learn trades of a carpenter/ joiner or painter/ decorator 

BLUE CARD (skilled worker)

is valid for 5 years.
Once you completed your NVQ level 2 course you will get a skilled BLUE card (skilled worker) .
APPLY for BLUE (skilled) CSCS card here.

For some who finished their NVQ level 2 course
This card is for you if:
1) you have other CSCS cards; or
2) if you have NO cards at all but would like to enroll onto NVQ level 2 course, and get your BLUE card (skilled worker) once you completed the course.
*** You cannot get BLUE card whilst on the course! You must have completed the course to be elegible for one
*** If you are not allowed to work without any CSCS card whilst being on your NVQ course then apply for GREEN CSCS card or RED CSCS cards.
