There are steps that the vocational student / learner will follow. This journey will enable them to achieve their qualification.
1. Initial assessment | Enrolment
You will submit an application on-line to express your interest in a specific vocational programme. Your Chrome Tree Group® (CTG) Recruitment Advisor undertakes an initial assessment to establish your training needs, learning style and suitability for vocational course.
2. Complete Enrolment | Complete Induction
CTG will issue your SRN and enrol you you onto your specific course, registering you with awarding bodies. Shortly after your Vocational Advisor will discuss training options available and works with you to develop your own learning plan, Individual Leraning Plan (ILP) to enable you to complete the qualification.
3. Additional Tests (if required)
Dependant upon your course and previous qualifications you may need to undertake an adult literacy or an adult numeracy qualification. This test usually will be sit on-line in your workplace. You will be given guidance and support by your Vocational Advisor.
4. Vocational Course | Work-based learning
The majority of your learning will take place in your workplace. Your Vocational Advisor will visit you in your workplace (although some tests may be undertaken elsewhere at local venues). Your Vocational Advisor, in other words an Assessor, will help and guide you how to build up your portfolio. Portfolio will eventually be various type of evidence gathered during your placement; this evidence will show that skills and knowledge you gained at your workplace comply with National Vocational Qualifications. During the Assessor's visits your portfolio will be built up and you will be supported through:
1. Observing the work you undertake in the workplace
2. Discussing your duties with you
3. Asking you questions, guiding and supporting you in the workplace
4. Reviewing your portfolio and assessments
5. Providing feedback to you and your employer
6. Key Skills accreditation (if required)
7. Unit Certification (if required)
5. Work is internally verified
The quality of your work will be internally verified to ensure that your learning portfolio meets the standard required by the awarding body and the industry in general.
6. Achievement of your qualification
Following the completion of all the above stages in the journey, you will be awarded your qualification!
