Chrome Tree Group® offers training programmes
which are also called vocational training or in other words
vocational courses.
2. What are vocational programmes about?
Vocational programmes are suitable for anyone wishing to enhance their work based skills, and suitable for someone in employment already or for someone just looking for a job.
3. I heard that government advisers say that vocational courses are "waste of time"
Chrome Tree Group® agrees that many educational providers offer vocational courses that don't lead to jobs or further training. Additionally, we agree that government funded establishments pourly adminster the courses because they get paid by the number of qualifications they put people through.
On the contrary, Chrome Tree Group® is a privately funded Centre with a vision to achieve 100% Client sattisfaction. Additionally, 99% of our courses offer employment with training, which means that you won't be stuck in a clasroom, in an environment where your job is simulated. You will be placed in a real job, with a real salary and real qualifications achievable at the end of the course. Furthermore, our vocational qualifications build fundamentals for further training, another step higher towards achieving higher qualification.
4. I don't have a job, can I apply for employment with training?
Yes you can apply. We offer vocational / apprenticenship placements. To apply click here.

13. My course & Living Costs in the UK
Students who are arriving from abroad need to have at least £430.00 in cash to take them through to their first salary. For example for someone doing a care placement in Cambridge, students need to book their accommodation for the 1st week which will be temporary accommodation (B&B or hostel); this will cost up to £210 per week. Then whilst the first three days are students' training and whilst they live in their temporary accommodation, they start looking for permanent accommodation themselves (CTG provides tel numbers of local landlords etc) and so student pays £70 for room rent in advance and £70 for room deposit in advance; in most cases students pay 4 weeks worth of rental deposit and 1 week's rent in advance. If landlord agrees to the latter then you will need to give £280+£70= £350 to landlord upon moving in to your permanent accommodation (single room in a shared house). You must calculate at least £40/week food. So total £210 (temp accommodation) + £140 (permanent, or could be £350-permanent), plus food expenses for 2 weeks i.e. £80 = £430.00 (or £640- if landlords want more rental deposit). If you are travelling from airport to the place of work/destination, also do estimate as to how much this may cost.
14. I am Bulgarian/ Romanian national | Can I apply?
Bulgarian/ Romanian nationals are welcome to apply for our courses. For placements of employed nature, CTG can help you filing application to the UKBA to get yellow card to enbale you start employment. Alternatively you are welcome to use your own immigration advisors to help you launching an application. For learners who have paid their course fees in full, immigration service is free. For learners who have made a prepayment, there is £80.00 charge for such application.
As a guidance you will need to provide with number of documents:
1) A comprehensive insurance policy document confirming that the applicant has private medical insurance. (For example, a policy may contain certain exemptions but if the applicant is covered by the policy for medical treatment in the majority of circumstances then this will be sufficient)
2) 2 passport sized pictures
3) Passport or identity card
4) Recent Bank statements showing you have funds available. If your bank statements are from abroad then bank letter must be translated by a verified translator; if bank statement is taken on-line- then additional letter from the bank must be submitted; this letter will need to state your name, address and bank account details with an official bank stamp on the letter (again if not in English- then translation must be present); if you cannot provide a bank statement then other evidence can be provided (contact us for more details)
For placements of contracting nature yellow card is not required, and vocational course can be delivered immediately. For placements where yellow card is required and where learners apply for employment with training, placement can start only after yellow card is obtained.
